Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Refrigerator Appreciation Day

.
I'm declaring it today -- Refrigerator Appreciation Day. My kitchen fridge has been out of order for a week now. And while I didn't lose any food, thankfully, I cannot tell you what a nuisance it is to run to the basement each time I need something from the refrigerator (maybe this is a new diet?). Do you have any idea how many times a day you open your fridge? No, you don't. You don't until you do, and then you remember that there is nothing in there, because it's warm.

So, thank your refrigerator today. Or, at least appreciate the convenience. And give a thought of thanks to Carl von Linde, inventor of the refrigerator. I don't know why we don't call it the Linde.

  1. Hooray! We had a refrigerator loss about a year ago and it was just an unbelievable 24 hours of well, sheer panic. We really have so much and sometimes we forget until the fridge takes an unscheduled holiday...Glad yours is up and running again!
