A Little Girl in a Boy's World
Being the only girl in a family is hard. And being the youngest child with three older brothers is equally hard. Especially when the oldest is 17 and you are five. Today, after releasing the panting dog from Peach's clutches, Doug gave the boys a little guilt trip about the dog being her only playmate -- about her brothers never taking a minute from their allotted video game time to play with their little sister. Anthony was feeling compliant (and he wanted an excuse not to study) so he made Peach an offer. "How about playing that game with me where the princesses fall down?"I happen to know for a fact that we have no video games with princesses in them, so I asked, "what game is that Anthony?" He said, "It's Tony Hawk, mom, and we told Peach that the girl skaters are princesses. She loves to watch them fall down." Peach grabbed Anthony by the hand and said, "Come on Anthony. We love to play that game." So, off to Boy's World she went.
It's a good thing that God made her such a girlie-girl, to balance her existence in a Boy's World.
