It has been so wonderful to read the stories and memories of her. I lost my grandma (my mom's mom :-) when I was only 13, and I miss her to this day! Grandmas are special, and I love your list of what makes them so. My grandma didn't have a lot of money and didn't really buy us gifts, but gosh, did I know I was loved by her ... without a doubt! (I'm convinced I was her favorite, but I bet every grandchild felt that way!)

You have been in my thoughts so much this week, and I am praying for you!

On another note, I keep telling you I have those rosaries to send you, but now maybe I will wait ... Or if I do send them, please just put them aside until you are ready. I'm obviously not in a hurry! And please let me know what I owe you. I feel terrible that you were left hanging on some. (Ugh!) You are such a dear, though, promoting prayer by making Rosaries. I know how much the ones you have made me and my family have blessed us!

God bless you, Barbara!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01530114345117741249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130102521697018241.post-74638852497677905112014-03-05T10:38:08.973-05:002014-03-05T10:38:08.973-05:00Oh Barbara. I wish I could have been dispensing those Kleenex right alongside Faith! It's hard to say goodbye, isn't it? Even though we know they are happier...and at peace...in His arms.

Please add my own dear mother to your intentions as well. I know what a prayer warrior you are, and she's not doing very well these days.

Love you much. ♥

MargaretMargaret in Minnesotahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15603439076606550856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130102521697018241.post-43535699301567863692014-03-03T17:44:39.810-05:002014-03-03T17:44:39.810-05:00Oh, that was so beautiful. (and the one that was lost, hopefully, it went to someone who will cherish it!)

"The Lord is kind and merciful" was the psalm used at Mass Friday, I wonder why they didn't use that one? I'm so sorry it didn't turn out the way you'd planned, sometimes we need to not have things we are not expecting. (like at your grandmother's funeral!)

My grandma's (the one that died in Sept) birthday was yesterday. Lots of thoughts of her, it seems so weird to not send a card.

Love and ((((hugs)))) and prayersJamie Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678469484585027738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130102521697018241.post-77021710618820262012014-03-01T20:03:02.685-05:002014-03-01T20:03:02.685-05:00Prayers and Hugs.Prayers and Hugs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130102521697018241.post-40079059350308390602014-02-28T21:38:31.730-05:002014-02-28T21:38:31.730-05:00Barbara, I've been praying since I read your f...Barbara, I've been praying since I read your first post. It touched me to tears Barbara. I'm certain that If you become half the grandma your grandma was, your family will be truly blessed.
God rest your grandma's soul.
There is no one on earth who could take the place of a beloved Grandma. I still miss mine terribly, and she went to her eternal rest 10 years ago.
Remember to take care of yourself, and rest every chance you get. I've been deeply touched by this post, as well as the one before it, because I am a doting grandma and would like to think my grandchildren will (and do) love me as you've loved your grandmother. Your grandmother was obviously a wonderful, kind, loving woman. What a beautiful tribute you have paid to her here! I pray you will be comforted by Our Lord as you continue to miss such a truly special person. Nancy Shumanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05584199691076992017noreply@blogger.com
