Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Rejoice, Rejoice, O, Mary!

Madonna and Child
Hans Zatzka

BE JOYFUL, MARY

Be joyful, Mary, heav'nly queen, Alleluia!

Your son who died was living seen, Alleluiia! Rejoice, rejoice, O Mary!

The son you bore by heaven's grace, Alleluia!

Did all our guilt and sin efface, Alleluia! Rejoice, rejoice, O Mary!

The Lord has risen from the dead, Alleluia!

He rose in glory as he said, Alleluia! Rejoice, rejoice, O Mary!

O pray to God, O Virgin fair, Alleluia!

That he our souls to heaven bear, Alleluia! Rejoice, rejoice, O Mary!

based on the 12th Century "Regina Caeli"

  1. Weren't you going to make a rosary to match that picture? Or was it a more teal blue? I don't recall ever seeing one... :-)

    1. I don't remember making that comment, but then I have a terrible memory. Or was this a hint?

  2. I believe you posted it on FB and that was the conversation that followed. Maybe you weren't serious about doing it.

    1. I'm sure I was serious, at the time -- but that's how my memory works -- I forget about as quickly as I come up with it. I wonder what I had in mind? I frequently have an entire rosary plotted out, order the parts, and by the time they arrive (which could be two weeks), I've forgotten what it was I wanted to do with them. I've learned to write down my ideas.

I appreciate your comments -- sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself!
