On the Third day of Christmas...



...three French hens.

I know this is a real stretch, but we had a houseful of family and friends tonight and neither three roasted chickens nor coq au vin were going to be a good choice for the menu. It was Beef Enchiladas, yellow rice and Mexican slaw. But, for dessert...Creme Brulee, AKA Three French Hens (there are three egg yolks in the recipe).
