Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I Spy...Life (3)

Off to the Post Office Saturday morning edition

1) a soft, flannel, baby boy quilt ( I love baby boys)
2) two First Holy Communion rosaries, one pink, one purple
3) Latin flash cards (they are Faith's -- not for mailing)
4) my new favorite coffee mug (a Christmas gift from my mother)
5) my Kindle Fire, with Organized Simplicity loaded on it (I think everyone is reading it)
6) a black onyx rosary with St. Michael medal attached (headed to a sweet girl's soldier in Afghanistan)
7) a purple and bronze tenner, headed to my mother-in-law (hopefully not to be lost ;-)
8) a tablespoon of chamomile tea (my current favorite -- with just a bit of honey added; enjoyed in tea cups, not coffee mugs)
9) my current knit (of which I have started over three times)
10) the latest National Catholic Register (I read only two stories at a time and it lasts me a couple weeks)
11) beads to make a pretty necklace for an event in two weeks (crystals in brown and blue)
12) newly refinished table (yeah -- my husband made it better than before the fire!)

  1. Such lovelies! I want to read Organized Simplicity...but am afraid she'll tell me to de-clutter my sewing room...egads! :) Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday, Barbara :)

    1. It's a motivational read, Cheryl, but not completely getting me. The first part of the book is about making a family "purpose statement" which is supposed to help you focus on what's important in the home. Frankly there ain't no way I would get my husband and sons to do that. So I am anxious to get to the real meat of the book and see what there is for me. With that in mind and knowing how important sewing is to you, she would likely have you get rid of everything except the sewing stuff!

  2. Hmmmm....my family purpose statement...to get these young adults fully functioning and on their own so they can get themselves and their junk out of my house....is that what you think she means??? ;)

  3. I love your I Spy posts, especially since Bun is on an I Spy kick and that's all he wants to check out of the library.

I'd do one here, except I think that all anyone would say is "I Spy . . . a catastrophic mess!" ;-)

  7. Aww, I see it! This post brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Barbara, you are a huge blessing to me. Even though we have never met in "real life", you are a dear friend & mentor to me. (But I do hope to swing over to your neck of the woods one of these days. =)
